In addition to the publicly released apps I've worked on for my previous employers, I am the sole developer of the following apps:
Bloom Word Search
Bloom Word Search is an iOS game that challenges you to find “pangrams” using a set of letters. Pangrams are words that use every letter in a set at least once. Once you find all the words, you unlock a new letter and find more!
I’m an avid crossword puzzler and have always loved word games. There are similar word search games out there, but I’ve always been frustrated by the limited nature of them, and I’ve never liked their interface. I discussed this frustration with some friends and came up with the game concept, but never had the time to work on it.
In August of 2021, I was working on learning SwiftUI, and decided to see how hard it would be to create the game using SwiftUI. Less than a month later, I had the app in the App Store.
Skill Shot: Seattle Pinball
A companion to the local Seattle zine Skill Shot, this app helps pinball aficionados find places to play pinball in Seattle. Using their REST service, I display local bars, restaurants, and other establishments that have pinball machines, as well as allow users to search for their favorite game to see where they can play it.
